MDR-DS8000 Technical Specifications:
TRANSMITTER
Compatible with DTS ES, Dolby Digital EX, DTS, Dolby Digital, Dolby Pro Logic II, Dolby Surround and MPEG2 AAC
DTS is a digital audio system for theaters developed by Ditital Theater Systems of the US. As with the Dolby Ditital Format, it provides multi-channel outpus consisting of 5.1 discrete channels.
DTS-ES Like Dolby Digital Surround EX, STS-ES adds a back surround channel to the 5.1 channels to provide a total of 6.1 channels altogether and, by doing so, it improves the power of spatial expression.
Dolby Digital Dolby Digital (Dolby AC-3) records each of the 5.1 channels completely independantly using digital signals. As a result, the dynamic range, channel separation and signal-to-noise ratio are extremely good, enabling the same kind of ambience as felt in a theater that is reproduced at home.
Dolby Digital Surround EX is a new surround sound format incorporating a 6.1 channel output: a back surround channel is added to the Dolby Digital output, enabling a clear, realistic sound.
Surround sound equivalent to that of 6 speakers reproduced by headphones
MPEG-2 AAC is an audio formate used for BS ditial broadcasts. This means not only regular stereo broadcasts, but movies and music programs distributed as discrete 5.1 cahnnel multi-channel broadcasts, leaving you with a theater ambience
Dolby Pro Logic II is a matrix surround system that represents a further improvement over Dolby Pro Logic. Matrix Decoding technology is used to expand stereo signals to a multi-channel format of 5.1 channels and reproduces them.
Easy operation simply select Input, Effect Mode, & Output
